According to Huey Lewis and the Lewis it is still beating and I look forward to seeing it first hand taking on the 2013 Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon. As I’ve posted before I was selected as one of the 12 official bloggers for Cleveland and will be posting race updates, training updates, and weekend planning on my page for the next 5 months. I’ve started to really enjoy scheduling out details of an upcoming runcation and getting a jumpstart on Cleveland is no different. What does a baseball loving, musician, runner do with three days in Cleveland? Those three things of course! A long spring training schedule will be capped off with a weekend of touring the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, taking in a Cleveland Indians game, and running the 2013 Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon. I have a few races and another marathon thrown in between now and then so training schedule may alter a little along the way, but here’s the plan.

Cleveland really has a lot to offer! Growing up in Michigan, Cleveland (and the whole state of Ohio) had a bad wrap. We used to call CLE the “Mistake on the Lake”. Since moving here, I can say that it is an awesome city and a great running community. Good luck with your training cycle and I’ll see you in May
You’re going to love Cleveland man–I’ve lived here for almost 32 years and I am still finding new and fun things to do all the time. We’re a fun and affordable city that is a great place to call home. I’ve never run the Cleveland Marathon but I have heard many great things about it from my friends who have done it in the past.
